What a wonderful experience! We never thought, we would be able to do two steps together and after only 90 min we have been amazed how much we learned and more so how much we liked it. Both! One of us confidently 73 years without a single dance and one 63 years a liitle out of balance after a stroke last year. Still it looked pretty good what Adrian managed to teach as in a very relaxed way. Thank you very much for this good time in Buenos Aires. We definetly take more chances.

I just returned home from Buenos Aires after one of the best weeks of my life. The food, the architecture, and warm people made it a wonderful experience. The highlight of my trip however was dancing with Adrian Luna. I looked at a lot of options before choosing to work with him and I could not be happier. I did five hours in 3 days and it was like drinking from a fire hose at times, but Adrian trusted me to keep up and learn at a pace he felt me capable of.
Explanations were clear, each concept was drilled and then we spent plenty of time dancing together so I could feel like a dancer and not just a student. He is kind, polite, funny and deeply connected to something he obviously loves very much. Please don’t go to BA and not tango, and if you tango, please do it with Adrian.

My husband and I took a private Tango lesson with Adrian and found the experience very professional from booking to payment process and the lesson itself. The dance studio was nice, Adrian greeted us warmly, he was very kind, funny, understanding and patient. After the class was over, I requested some examples of traditional tango music, best stores to get a pair of Tango shoes and expressed my wish to go to a Milonga.
He was very supportive and generous to share information. By the time we got back to our hotel, he already emailed me the links to all the information I requested. I find him a very generous person and a true gentleman. He is not only in the business of teaching his students the physical dance but also promoting the passion for this art form.
We really enjoyed our lesson with Adrian and wished had time to take more lessons with him. My husband and I highly recommend him to anyone who wish to learn Tango without being intimidated.

Adrian magically made non- dancers feel comfortable, and my skeptical husband even had fun! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, book now because he fills up fast. I had been taking group lessons for 4-5 years, and after a long break, I decided to take a 1:1 class upon recommendation. Not knowing what to expect and how much I’d remember, Adrian made it very easy to get back into it. The structure of the class and his personalized approach allowed me to relive steps I was familiar with, and iron out imperfections I wasn’t aware of. After a warm up, Adrian proceeded to asses my proficiency, provided honest feedback, and suggested a structure for the class. This left left me ready to take up lessons regularly and return to milongas, and reminded me of how much I enjoyed the era when tango was a weekly part of my life.

We purchased 3 hours of lessons from Adrian . We had taken lessons for 6 months in the US and were looking for advice on how to use our lessons to be able to dance at a local Milonga. Adrian was very kind and understanding and we quickly learned our US lessons were “patterns” which were virtually useless in Argentina.
In 3 hours he was able modify our patterns to become useful in a Milonga, add to our “portfolio” of movements and improve our “embrace”. I only wish we had more time in Buenos Aires so we could have taken more lessons. Coming from a couple who have been ballroom dancing for 14 years, we highly recommend Adrian as a true professional who is capable of understanding a dancers current level of Dance proficiency and improving that proficiency.

Our visit to Adrian was definitely worth the long journey!
Not only is he a very good and qualified trainer, you immediately feel at home with him and Mora, they are so welcoming.
Both speak excellent English and know how to respond to the needs and current training status of their clients.
Nothing is missing during training. Understanding what is there and where to start with the improvements, infinite knowledge, friendliness, calmness and patience are a matter of course for him. The fact that he also gave us ignorant foreigners a crash course in the local milongas and the correct behavior there really made our lives easier.
Unfortunately his studio is not just around the corner and we can not be there on a regular basis.

Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat ik de lessen van Adrián als leerzaam, fijn, leuk, interessant en motiverend heb ervaren. Adrián is wat mij betreft een van de beste docenten die ik in mijn leven heb gehad. Tango zit in al zijn vezels en hij heeft echt onderzocht wat het is en hoe hij dit in zijn lespraktijk het beste tot zijn recht kan laten komen.
Adrián is in staat om al zijn passie en kennis die hij deelt, aan te passen aan de student waar hij mee werkt. Dit zorgt voor een persoonlijke aanpak waarbinnen je je als leerling veilig en gezien voelt en daarmee het beste uit jezelf kunt halen. Tijdens de lessen schoof zijn partner Mora ook af en toe aan om extra aandacht te besteden aan de techniek voor de vrouw, wat extra verdieping van de stof opleverde. Het is een volledige ervaring, waarin je niet alleen de technische kant van de dans leert, maar ook kennis over geschiedenis en muziek opdoet en je toewerkt naar echt gaan dansen.
Daarnaast zijn Adrián en Mora twee hele mooie, hartelijke en bijzondere mensen die je je welkom en op je gemak laten voelen. Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat ik heel blij ben dat ik hen heb leren kennen en van hun lessen heb mogen genieten. Een hele grote aanrader voor iedereen die tango wil leren dansen.

Lessons are well organized. Advance dancers and beginners will learn,as Adrian adjust speed of teaching to your level.

I cannot recommend Adrián highly enough. He is an absolutely excellent dancer and teacher of tango – good-humoured, respectful and infinitely patient (this was necessary as I had absolutely no tango experience before booking lessons with him!). He tailors his lessons to precisely what you need and is honest about what can potentially be achieved.
His love of the dance, the music and the traditions of tango is almost tangible, and most definitely infectious. I felt I was learning tango from all possible angles, and very much appreciated the richness of the experience. His advice about what to expect at milongas was invaluable.His integrity can perhaps best be demonstrated by the fact that at a certain point he refused to let me sign up immediately for another course of individual lessons, saying that I had come to the point where I needed to go to group lessons and milongas. If you are considering taking lessons with Adrián, I can say hand on heart that they will be worth every penny. His English is absolutely excellent, too – no language worries. In fact, no worries at all!
I also loved the input of his partner Mora, who inspired me with her elegant dancing, and gave me an infinite resource of adornos.

My husband bought me a one-to-one tango lesson as a birthday present and it was one of the best I have ever received. The communication with Adrian beforehand was first class ( he even sent me a Happy Birthday Message) and the actual lesson was superb. I came away afterwards with a clearer understanding of tango, the ability to actually undertake basic steps (although the ‘sandwich’ is going to take some time to master!) and the joy of completing a whole dance.

Blissful tango lessons with Adrian and Mora!
I was visiting Buenos Aires for work, but had a couple of afternoons off, so decided to take the plunge and try some individual tango lessons.
Did some searches on the internet for private tango lessons and came across many schools/tutors.
Adrian’s website stood out for the clear and transparent information and for the grounded approach. Communication was easy and I soon had my three (90 min) lessons booked.
I am a tango absolute beginner and my last dance classes were flamenco over about 15 years ago. Not exactly the easiest pupil to teach in three lessons, but Adrian handled it expertly.
Adrian was very welcoming creating an easy and light atmosphere.
Adrian explained the basics of tango (which I needed) and after 30 mins of exercises in front of the mirror, I was dancing to some very nice tango.
Adrian structures his lessons very well creating a good balance between explaining tango fundamentals, explaining about the music we dance to, tango history and some much needed breaks to recover and digest all the information.The body also needs time to take in the moves, the sounds, etc. In those breaks you will be introduced to some very nice Argentinian treats which will fortify you for the rest of your lesson.

On my last day, I also had the pleasure of meeting and have some tuition from Mora, Adrian’s dance and life partner. Mora is fabulous and will make you want to perfect your tango embellishments (adornos) all day!

Our Buenos Aires Tango experience with Adrian and Mora was amazing. We had looked on-line for tango lessons and are really glad we chose Adrian and Mora. The booking process was easy via email. The studio was lovely and no problem to travel to from the city centre. We had a 90 minute lesson which was perfect for our level of dance and Adrian and Mora were excellent teachers.
They were very kind in sharing some of their favourite local treats with us too along with some mate. In the evening they took us to a milonga at a local bar where we had a great time mixing with the locals and enjoying an authentic tango social dance evening. We would never have been able to do this without them and we really enjoyed their company. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer and have more lessons.
We think of Adrian and Mora as our friends now and are hoping to welcome them as our guests in the UK one day.

I found Adrian via a Google search, our initial communication was very clear and professional. Adrian agreed to teach myself and my husband tango over a number of weeks and was happy to come to our apartment in BA as we have a young child and that suited us best.
When I finally met Adrian I found him to be very respectful, kind person who makes you feel very at ease. In many ways he went above and beyond what we expected during his lessons and via sharing music, videos and recommendations for what was an amazing tango club.

I am not sure that there are sufficient words to adequately describe what a wonderful experience I had meeting Adrian and his beautiful partner in life and dance, Mora. I came to Buenos Aires in search of authentic tango lessons and wanted a 1-2-1 experience rather than a class.
I had some previous dance experience but not in tango and I searched through many teachers and studios in BA before deciding to contact Adrian. I was so happy that I made this choice! Adrian’s lessons are so much more than a dance lesson. He is a gifted, intuitive and passionate coach whose love of tango is infectious.
He and Mora also really care about your experience of tango and of Argentinian culture and shared moments with us where they introduced us to yerba mate tea and other Argentinian traditions before taking us to a traditional tango social dance where we had dinner, dancing and a truly authentic and unique experience.
On a practical level, the lessons are sensibly priced, the studio is easy to reach by metro and the surroundings (in the art house owned by Mora’s mother) is a great space to learn tango. Adrian and Mora are sweet, funny, charming and generous people and my husband and I enjoyed their company so much. The 90 minute lessons covered not only the basic steps but some history about the dance and music and also the etiquette of attending a social dance.
On a deeper level, their love of tango is highly contagious and I defy you to come away from this experience without having fallen in love with Buenos Aires and the dance! I cannot recommend Adrian’s coaching highly enough. Thank you both for one of the most incredible weeks of my life. It was a real pleasure and an honour to spend time with you both.

IT TAKES THREE TO LEARN THE TANGO Had one measly day in Buenos Aires in July, which was of course much too short. There was only time for the first item on my bucket list: Tango. The Gods smiled on me, because I came across Adrián Luna’s Tango Studio on Google.
GETTING THERE: The metro in BA measures up to the best in the world and the ride from Recoleta to Inclán was fast. Inclán is a neighbourhood of charming buildings from a more refined, gentle and prosperous age and is about to be transformed into one of the most hip places in Argentina and arguably in the whole of South America.
Adrian’s studio was easy to find and instantly recognizable as the façade is a splendid work of art. Even if you are unable to secure a spot in Adrian’s busy schedule, it’s worth going to Inclán only to see the building. It’s all about picking up the pieces. I was greeted by Adrián and Mora, his girlfriend and dance partner, whose mother had created the artwork on the façade of the building.
LEARNING THE TANGO As doubtful as I was of my own ability to learn something as complicated and beautifully intricate as the tango, I found Adrián and Mora reassuring and competent intstructors who could probably teach a table or a chair to dance the tango as well. They were that good… Did I learn to tango? Yes, a little bit. Was it a worthwhile experience? Yes, by far the most rewarding experience I had in a long, long time.
CAN I RECOMMEND THIS? If you wish to give yourself a gift, treat yourself to a few sessions or more in the company of these two very gifted individuals. It certainly takes two to tango, but it takes three to LEARN the tango. Thank you Adrián and Mora for a wonderful experience. I will be back someday.

I came to Argentina looking for a unique and special experience – and for me, this included experiencing tango. I had two private lessons with Adrian, one was one hour and an evening out at a traditional milonga with him, his lovely girlfriend Mora (also an amazing tango instructor) and some of his friends and other students and the other was a two hour private lesson with Adrian and Mora together. Firstly – tango is so much more complex and intricate than I expected it to be! I thought it would be simple to pick up, given I had some salsa experience.
There are so many more relationship and cultural complexities, even just getting out on the dance floor! Adrian is warm, generous and was sensitive to individual needs and nervousness! He is an amazing instructor with exceedingly large amounts of patience! I love to dance. I only had a couple of days in Buenos Aires. The first night, I went to a tango show. It’s fabulous. Wouldn’t it be memorable to take a tango lesson in Buenos Aires. I did some research and found Adrian Luna. I booked a lesson. Even before the lesson, he impressed me. He was so responsive and so flexible. I arrived for my lesson a little early. No problem. We started right away. He had me make some moves to determine my level. I’m a beginner.Within the next hour and a half, he taught me several patterns of tango. My husband and I took 4 private lessons with Adrian. We did 1.5 hrs each day over 4 consecutive days. I had never danced before and was terrified of (my husband’s) idea of taking tango lessons.
